I like to be very upfront and clear on the financial side of things for daycare fees. So, I have tried to explain it clearly below in the next section. Please contact me for clarification or any questions you might have.
I offer two kinds of contracts for parents to choose from for daycare. All spots are Full-Time 5 days a week Monday to Friday spots. My hours of operation are 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. We will determine your drop-off and pick-up schedule upon contract signing.
Option #1: Long-Term Care (1+ Years)
Option #2: Short-Term Care (Less than 1 Year)
All contracts require a 15-day registration fee that can be used towards the last three weeks of care if you complete the contract you selected. Your final invoice will consider whether the registration fee can be used or not, any prorated closure days that haven't been used, any outstanding fees, and any fee changes.
If you give notice before your child starts care, the registration fee will be forfeited as you did not meet the requirements of the contract. You will be charged 22 business days' worth of fees in lieu of proper notice.
I provide childcare services for children until they start junior kindergarten. After that, they children transition to a before and after school program at the school of their choice. Contracts are signed annually in January and automatically renew for the following year. If there are any short-term contracts, they can be extended into long-term care if space is available.
WHAT TYPES OF CARE ARE OFFERED?
FULL-TIME CARE
5 Days a Week - 52 Weeks a Year
Monday - Friday
Non-Refundable Registration Fee: 15 days of full-time fees
I am a LICENSED Home Daycare under Natural Connections Childcare. At this time do not have access to the CWELCC funding due to Lanark County deciding at the end of August 2023 to abruptly cut the program to Natural Connections Childcare for "CONVENIENCE" and with no explanation. After exhausting various avenues and making many politicians and officials aware of the situation the Ministry of Education there was unfortunately nothing anyone could do to help me get this funding back for my parents at this time. Leeds & Grenville County is not looking to put any more funds for CWELCC into the Kemptville area. If you disagree with this decision as I do I would suggest you reach out to Steve Clark, Nancy Pickford, and the United County of Leeds & Grenville to voice your opinion.
(NOTE: I am not normally a very political person, but on this topic of affordable childcare I am.)
This is 15 days of fees at the daily rate and is a non-refundable Registration Fee, which is required at the same time as the contract is signed by all parties (parent(s)/guardian(s) and caregiver). This Enrollment Fee is used towards the fees for your child's last 3 weeks of care. To use your child must be in care for a min of a year. If rates have changed once your child is ready to leave the program, then the difference will be calculated, and final payment will be required.
Every child in care is required to have an Enrollment Fee.
The registration fee guarantees that you have a spot with Hop, Skip, & Jump Home Daycare. If you terminate the contract (for any reason) before your child’s start date you forfeit your registration fee.
ALL RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE UNTIL THE CONTRACT IS SIGNED & THE NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION FEE IS GIVEN WITH OTHER REQUIRED PAPERWORK.
Please contact me for more specific information - Click on the "FIND OUT MORE" tab.
Fees are required in advance of care either:
Acceptable Payment Options:
Upon registration, we will determine what your child’s schedule will be and how you will be paying.
Payment is by enrollment, not by attendance. Payment will not vary due to statutory holidays, child’s illness, or parent holidays. Payment is not expected when the caregiver uses more than 20 Closure Days.
If your child is enrolled full-time and you choose to place your child in any kind of other programming during your child's day, there is no reduction in fees during that time.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I'M GOING TO BE LATE?
When a child starts in care we will discuss what times you will need for drop-off and pick-up. Then for one week we will make sure those times are working for you. Once we have determined what hours you need to get to and from work if you arrive after your scheduled pick-up time, there will be a charge.
Overtime: I DO NOT DO OVERTIME, but if you are going to be late due to weather or an accident, I need you to contact me as soon as you know.
I cannot guarantee I will be able to stay late due to family commitments. So if you can make an alternate arrangement for pick-ups on those days when you think you might be late it would be greatly appreciated.
Late Fees:
Example: if you are one hour late to pick up your child, it will cost $220 per child in late fees.
NOTE - You are still considered late if you are sitting in your vehicle or on my porch on the phone!
In the event that there is an accident or bad weather please contact me by phone/text to inform me and I will do my best to help out. If you can arrange an alternate pick-up person for these events, please inform me who it will be by phone/text.
Late Fees must be paid on or prior to dropping your child for care on your next scheduled day or your child will not be accepted for care and you are still required to pay for that day(s) they miss. Care will be suspended until payment in made in full.
Please do not abuse these rules. These are for EMERGENCY PURPOSES ONLY; abuse of this will result in immediate termination.
Continued late pickups will jeopardize the spot for your child. I would never want to lose a family over this, but it is important to my family that I have time each evening to spend time with them.
If you are Separated or Divorced a copy of any separation agreement needs to be provided. Any changes in this agreement in regards to the guardianship of your child(ren) need to be given in writing with both parent’s/guardian’s signatures present on the document.
One parent will be the key parent paying the daycare fees and as parents, you will need to sort out your personal finances on your end.
In the event, your child is being picked up by a parent/guardian who does not have the legal right to have the child I will immediately contact the police and the other parent.
Thank you for your understanding in this area. Your child's safety is my number one priority.
It is your responsibility to provide me with your correct address and any address changes.
One receipt will be issued per child (not family).
Both parents' names will be on the receipt and it's your responsibility to split it how you see fit.
